We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Compliance role in a Banking and Financial Services company founded in Taipei. The company has developed and succeeded for more than a century while adhering steadfastly to the operational premise of "Customer First, Service First," generating better value for customers' wealth and expectations. The company is now seeking to hire an experienced professional to join the London office.

Job Requirements:

Eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship - Documentation Required
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Head of Compliance in the banking industry, preferably with SMF16 & 17 functions, is required.
BSc/BA in a relevant discipline, such as law, finance, or business administration.
Thorough knowledge and comprehension of the FCA manual and recommended procedures for the sector.
Hands-on knowledge of a range of regulatory reporting methods.
Working knowledge of the FCA.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
Excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail.
A qualified compliance professional is an advantage.
Mandarin language proficiency is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

Ensure that the firm abides by all UK and Taiwanese laws and regulations, as well as our own internal rules and processes.
Assist the organisation with compliance by offering advice and direction.
Manage, oversee, and assess the effectiveness of the control system.
Identify discs associated with compliance.
Establish measures to stop the breaking of internal rules and procedures as well as laws and regulations.
Provide and oversee appropriate employee training.
