We have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Assistant in a London-based wholesale company. The company seeks to hire a Mandarin speaker to join the team to assist/collaborate with the Supply Chain Manager to guarantee the supply cycle. This role will have a 6 months probation period.
Job Requirements:
- Computer literate — knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with an emphasis on advanced Excel usage.
- Knowledge of the supply chain would be beneficial, however complete training will be provided.
- Mandarin skill is a must-have.
- Must have purchasing experience along with strong negotiation skills.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the UK.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Stock/fill rates must be maintained.
- Order fulfillment and expediting.
- Administrative and import responsibilities.
- From conception to completion, project planning.
- Responsible to immediate line manager and internal/external customers.
- Existing and new product procurement, including Alibaba searches, sample approval requests, and final vendor term negotiations, as well as a monitoring strategy to land the resourced and new items.
- Key work areas include availability, standard of service, inventory holding, vendor negotiation, and new product completion.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the Supply Chain Manager.
