We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Technical Engineer role in an Industrial Machinery Manufacturing company based in Manchester. It is a technology-driven corporation that specialises in high-performance electrical tomography technologies for research institutes and process industries all over the world. The company is looking for a Senior Technical Engineer to lead the Application Team, to provide technical solutions, collaborate with the sales team, and provide commissioning and training solutions to the company's global clients in the research and process industries. The ability to communicate in Mandarin is required for the work to support China prospects.
Job Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in electrical, chemical, or process engineering is required.
- Knowledge of electronic systems would be beneficial.
- Tech support or applications engineering exposure is preferred.
- Mandarin and English fluency.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and independent thinking.
- Capable of communicating at all levels, from academic researchers to field service engineers in the business.
- Flexibility and a strong work ethic.
- Team player.
- A meticulous approach to research initiatives that pay close attention to the smallest details.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- A full UK driving licence is required.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Developing expertise in electrical tomography systems.
- Providing technical advice and assisting the sales team in providing technical solutions to the global process sector, with an emphasis on China potential.
- Assisting with project manufacture, testing, and delivery while reporting to the Operations Manager.
- Conducting feasibility assessments and research and development activities in new application areas.
- It is necessary to visit on-site to provide commissioning training and support to end-users.
- Providing technical demonstrations for a variety of process applications.
- Demonstrating the solution to clients and offering technical assistance including training and technical issue resolution.
