We have an exciting opportunity for an Asia Pacific Sales Engineer role in an Electrical and Electronics Manufacturing company based in Clacton-on-Sea. The company produces modular signal switching and simulations for electrical tests and validation and operates globally. It seeks to hire a person with relevant technical sales experience for this position.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of technical expertise in the electronics industry and a strong balance of hardware and software abilities are required.
- Bachelor's Degree or HNC/HND at a minimum.
- MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills.
- Interpersonal, written, and vocal communication abilities are essential.
- Self-driven.
- Ability to collaborate as part of a group.
- A willingness to travel and curiosity about Asian culture.
- Commercial awareness, as well as an understanding of industry trends and emerging technology.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Asia Pacific Applications and Sales Support.
- Providing day-to-day sales and application assistance for Asia Pacific possibilities, particularly for critical territories outside of China.
- Assist the China headquarters and Asia Pacific agents/distributors with order closing.
- Creating application-specific demonstrations, presenting commercial solutions, and showing hardware/software.
- As needed, go to trade fairs and key customer locations.
- Work with major account test engineering groups to establish new product needs.
- Collaborate closely with R&D on innovative product suggestions that can be turned into strategic opportunities.
- Travel opportunities/expectations to Asia once the Covid restrictions are eliminated.
- Supporting trade exhibitions, agent/distributor visits, and client visits, among other things.
- Back-up assistance for sales o Lead distribution and CRM entries, for example.
- Visiting conferences, seminars, and workshops as needed to stay current with industry trends.
