We have an exciting opportunity for a Head Chef role in a Taiwanese restaurant based in London. The restaurant is among the top-rated restaurants providing a premium customer experience. It is currently seeking to hire a bi-lingual experienced chef to head the routine operations.

Job Requirements:

  • The applicant must demonstrate the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) level B1.
  • Passion and excellence are a must.
  • Mandarin and English (must) proficiency.
  • Have prior experience managing comparable kitchens and providing excellent service on a daily basis.
  • The candidate can demonstrate his or her command of the English language by:

                              • clearing a SELT conducted by an authorised provider.
                              • possessing a GCSE (A level), Scottish National Qualification level 4 or 5, Scottish Higher or Advanced Higher in English obtained during education at a UK school while you were under the age of 18.
                              • possessing a degree-level academic qualification taught in English – if studied overseas, you'll need to submit to Ecctis (previously UK NARIC) for certification the degree is comparable to a UK bachelor's, master's, or PhD.

  • Must be legally permitted to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Inspire and consistently improve the culinary crew while also being business-minded in order to take the business ahead.
  • Ascertain that kitchen employees conform to quality, hygiene, and cleanliness requirements.
  • Leading and managing a devoted staff that works in a comfortable setting and has a strong desire to provide consistently excellent cuisine.
  • Managing Suppliers.
  • Inventory management and stock ordering.
  • Handling employee concerns such as sick leave and attendance, as well as initiating disciplinary action when needed.
  • Creating unique dishes.
  • Dealing with food-related concerns from consumers.
