We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Manager role in a London based Supermarket. The supermarket chain aims to promote Asian culture and living to the masses by offering a diverse selection of quality and innovative foods. The firm is looking for someone with 10+ years of warehouse management expertise to collaborate with the Director to design and set up a brand new central warehouse who must be well-versed in warehouse procedures, health and safety, logistics, and people management.

Job Requirements:

  • Warehouse control experience of at least 10 years is required.
  • 10+ years of expertise managing warehouse workers at various levels.
  • Knowledge of warehousing processes and rules is required.
  • Outstanding problem-solving abilities and leadership capabilities.
  • Capability to collaborate with employees at all levels of the organisation.
  • Capable of providing regular direct written and oral responses.
  • Extensive experience developing processes and regulations in a central warehouse.
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK.
     

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organise and establish a new central warehouse.
  • Maintain warehouse efficiency through overseeing, organising, leading, and training warehouse staff, as well as developing, monitoring, and controlling operation goals.
  • Establish warehouse operations systems by defining goods handling and storage needs, equipment usage, inventory control, and delivery schedules.
  • Train and supervise a warehouse staff to handle routine operational difficulties and achieve short- and long-term performance targets.
  • Control and manage inventories and logistics while supervising everyday activities.
  • Examine and design workflow, personnel and space needs, equipment layout, and strategic plan while ensuring efficiency, quality, and customer service goals are satisfied.
  • Ensure a healthy work environment through developing, adhering to, and enforcing standards and guidelines, and adhering to regulatory obligations.
  • Control the warehouse's daily operations, which include quality control, stock control, facility management, distribution, floor productivity, stock delivery, and customer support.
  • Organize and direct the warehouse team to meet business objectives, and direct the supply and work quality to maximise efficiency and reduce overtime.
  • Regularly inspect the equipment, supplies, and machinery, and manage routine maintenance as required.
  • Meet with warehouse staff on a regular basis to assess, analyse, and build concrete goals for productivity and loss prevention.
  • Oversee and manage the logistics used to convey items to business shops, coordinating with drivers to guarantee timely stock delivery.
