We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Assistant role in a Nottingham-based Transportation, Logistics and Storage company. The rapidly expanding and globally operating logistics service provider is hiring a Business Assistant to assist the supply chain functions.

Job Requirements:

Work experience in a similar role in logistics or supply chain management is preferred.
Excellent office administration skills.
ability to reason numerically and to negotiate.
Strong interpersonal skills, notably the ability to communicate with suppliers and consumers on the outside.
Good time management and organisational skills are required to meet time constraints and deadlines.
A keen eye for detail.
Ability to solve problems.
Adaptive and versatile.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

Keeping track of all documentation of the supply chain.
Update the internal system and tracker to guarantee that they are always in sync.
Receive, request and update Invoice Ledgers.
Examine freight/carrier invoices and report any irregularities.
Changes in delivery and delays should be reported and communicated to the appropriate team.
Resolving concerns with goods that do not arrive as expected
Work with the Warehouse staff to ensure that all requests and queries are addressed efficiently and promptly.
Prepare the invoicing process for each month.
Establish positive working ties with courier firms and bargain for the best market rates.
Assisting the supply chain department's function.
Assist the larger product team with any ad hoc work.
