We have an exciting opportunity for a Purchasing Manager role in a Sporting Goods company based in Edinburgh. The company offers fully customizable bespoke apparel and accessories for athletic events and event organisers at wholesale prices. The company is currently seeking experienced Mandaarin speaking people to fill this position.

Job Requirements:

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in both English and Mandarin are required.
Experience in a similar capacity for at least 2 years is required.
Must be self-motivated and capable of working autonomously.
Very self-contained.
Must have the right to work in the UK with an active visa.
Experience in production and logistics in the clothing/apparel industry.
We require the applicant to be technically savvy because we operate on a variety of platforms.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

Coordination with current suppliers, manufacturers, and sea/air logistic partners is required.
Communicate with manufacturers, vendors, and teams in both China and the UK to offer overall production and logistical leadership.
Ensure that production schedules are adhered to and that deliveries are made on time.
Be the point of contact for UK and EU customs, levies, and import regulations.
Many of our goods are for special occasions, thus late delivery is not a possibility.
Collaborate with the Chinese production planning team to give day-to-day leadership.
Improve the order workflow.
Cooperate with IT to ensure that the CRM order system operates to its full potential.
Seek new prospects and obtain bids from new factories or suppliers.
Ensure that we are obtaining the greatest value from the logistics services.
