We have an exciting opportunity for an Accountant role in a Freight forwarding company based in China. The company offers international trading services to e-commerce international traders such as global trading, importing/exporting goods between the EU and China, international logistics, and container leasing. It is seeking to hire an Accountant to deal with taxation and bookkeeping.
Job Requirements:
- AAT qualification is required.
- Accounting software knowledge is required.
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese.
- Microsoft Office proficiency is required (particularly Excel).
- Highly numerical, with a keen eye for detail.
- Organized, proactive, and adaptive to changes.
- When it comes to financial information, honesty and discretion are essential.
- Effective communication skills and a can-do attitude are required.
- Experience in the logistics business is a plus.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Enter sales invoices into accounting software.
- Submit monthly customer statements.
- Debt collection / credit control, debtor reporting.
- Accounts payable and receivable preparation.
- Balance-sheet reconciliations and the investigations that follow.
- Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts and cash flow forecasting.
- Submit quarterly VAT returns as well as monthly ONS data.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and the examination of variances.
