We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant role in a Shandong-based Medical Devices company. The company is the UK branch of one of the world's largest providers of lab equipment. The firm is looking for a Finance Assistant to be a key member of the finance team, working with the Management Accountant. The main tasks will include sales ledger administration, inventory control, and general finance administration.
Job Requirements:
- Prior experience handling accounts/sales ledger.
- Outstanding numeracy and analytical abilities.
- Strong bookkeeping abilities and prior experience in a comparable capacity are required.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- Strong communication skills at all levels, both internally and outside.
- Highly computer proficient with accounting software expertise, especially SAP.
- Possess applicable NVQ/SVQ or specialised credentials such as AAT/ACCA/CIMA.
- Excel or equivalent spreadsheet software knowledge is required.
- English and Mandarin Chinese are both fluent (writing and speaking).
- Must own a valid work visa and live within commuting distance of the office (TW16 7EL).
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Routine utilisation of financial processes, improving and modifying as needed.
- Sales ledger administration.
- Accounts maintenance, validating and posting transactions.
- On a daily or weekly basis, reconciling accounts.
- Payment management for purchases.
- Credit control and the submission of mandatory receivable reports to China.
- Client, vendor, and banking contacts liaison.
- Managing and filing pertinent documentation.
- Ensure that all bank reconciliations are completed.
- Stock control, quarterly inventory-taking, inventory analysis, and assisting colleagues in clearing off old stock.
- Sales performance evaluation and reporting.
- Assisting with the audit process and communicating with other parties.
- Cashflow statements.
