We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Designer and Production Manager role in an Apparel and Fashion manufacturer based in London. The company is a worldwide design, manufacturing, and logistics firm that makes accessories, clothes, packaging, athletic, and lifestyle items. It is looking for a Senior Designer and Production Manager who is entrepreneurial, highly driven, professional, and who is enthusiastic about sustainable design.
Job Requirements:
- Excellent grasp of the garment design, development, and marketing processes.
- 4+ years of apparel design and production expertise.
- The ability to read and comprehend product specifications, grades, tech packs, and bills of materials (BOMs).
- Understanding of garment structure, textile material construction, costs, pattern design, graphical embellishments (trims, patching, screen-printing, embroidery), and garment production is required.
- Ability to monitor and discuss any issues that arise during the development phase with both internal and external clients, as well as cooperate fluently with numerous departments and vendors.
- Demonstrated product design and project management abilities.
- Capability to operate under pressure and fulfil tight deadlines.
- 1 year of production planning experience (preferred).
- 1 year of production managerial experience (preferred).
- Fluency in Mandarin is desirable.
- Work authorization in the UK (preferred).
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Identifying and resolving supply chain challenges.
- Daily communication with partner manufacturers, high-profile clientele throughout the world, and budding designers.
- Work with clients from beginning to end, identifying what they require to bring their designs and brands to life.
- Work as part of a team on projects and individually lead projects.
- Be in charge of gathering expenses, pricing, and lead times and communicating them to our clients.
- Create and share production plans on Monday.com with the team and clients.
- Be in charge of the project from start to finish, working with the manufacturing partner and clients, and supervising and resolving all difficulties on both ends to ensure a smooth process.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing partner to ensure that all QC tests on each order are completed and reported to customers.
- Assist the customer with the logistics of transporting items from the manufacturer to the client in the most effective manner feasible.
