We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Legal Cashier role in a Law Practice
firm based in London. The globally recognised commercial law company caters to both corporate and individual clients with its tailored services by experts. The primary goal of this position will be to assist the financial controller. The position will initially be part-time (20 hours per week), but it is expected to rise to full-time as the business expands.

Job Requirements:

MS Excel and Word proficiency required.
Systems directed.
Excellent organisational abilities and a keen eye for detail.
Flexibility in working with huge quantities and tight timelines.
Good understanding of the Solicitors Accounting Rules (SAR’s) and VAT Rules.
Knowledge of AML Regulations.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

Monitor client accounts, verify cash received, and notify the appropriate fee earners.
Bank reconciliation on a daily basis.
Client and office bank reconciliations on a daily basis.
Daily control balance to guarantee that all transactions and posts from the previous day are completed following firm policy and SARs.
Using the Natwest Banking System to process CHAPS, BACS, Faster, and International Payments.
Uploading all inbound and outbound transactions to the Proclaim/Eclipse system (Adequate training may be provided for Proclaim system).
Identifying and dispersing office receipts and payments.
Account transfers from the client to the office.
