We have an exciting opportunity for a Paralegal role in a Renewables and Environment company based in Manchester. The firm is a global provider of renewable power and low-carbon building solutions. The organisation is searching for a paralegal to work on cross-jurisdictional and multi-disciplinary energy projects alongside the company's General Counsel.
Job Requirements:
- Have an outstanding academic record, including a valid degree in law or Graduate Diploma in Law, and have finished or will soon complete the Bar Professional Training course or equivalent.
- Oversea lawyers who have passed Stage 1 of the QLTS will be considered as well.
- Outstanding writing and vocal communication abilities.
- ability to operate autonomously.
- Excellent detail-orientedness and thoroughness.
- Positivity and a "can-do" mentality.
- Outstanding organisational and time-management abilities.
- Committed to managing a project to completion.
- A working grasp of the Chinese language is preferred.
- Previous work experience for a minimum of 1-year in-house or in private practice in either corporate, energy, construction, commercial law is required.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Supporting with the evaluation of corporate, construction, and agreements for projects in Spain, Italy and Portugal.
- Coordination of transactional documents preparation with external counsel.
- Monitoring data rooms and dealing with both external lawyers and the internal team in line with corporate transactions.
- Aiding in the formulation of ad hoc legal advice.
- Participating in negotiation and project discussions.
- Managing the negotiation and implementation of agreements.
- Drawing up and evaluating simple contractual arrangements.
- Any appropriate additional responsibilities.
