We have an exciting opportunity for a Energy Policy Manager role in a Renewables and Environment organisation. The company's mission is to improve sustainable energy and hydropower by developing its role in renewable energy sources, ethical freshwater management, and climate science solutions. It is now seeking a Chinese-speaking Energy Policy Manager to join its Research and Policy team.

Job Requirements:

Experience in a comparable policy/analyst job with a track record of substantial accomplishments is required.
Demonstrated knowledge of electrical markets and/or policy, particularly with governments, corporations, investors, or project financiers.
Experience in East Asia/Pacific is preferred.
Have the capacity to think and act creatively to uncover membership and revenue prospects.
Outstanding project management and organisational abilities.
Working under duress and meeting deadlines.
Detail-oriented and dedicated to maintaining high standards.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate as a team member across cultures and stakeholder groups.
Willingness to often travel worldwide.
Fluency in Chinese and proficiency in English (written and oral) are required.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

Oversee a major research and policy initiative.
Examine and report on global energy, water, and climate policies, trends, and possibilities.
Oversee the company's participation and analysis of China, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific region.
Oversee the company's interactions with one or more international groups.
Organize and present at conferences, webinars, and other events.
Collaborate with other teams (Sustainable development, Stakeholder Involvement, and Communications) to advance the sustainable hydropower sector's objectives.
