We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Solution Engineer role in an Internet company based in Los Angeles. The firm is a leading comprehensive solution supplier of Web content and app delivery services, including Internet data centre management, Internet Exchange operations, and cloud hosting. Under this role, the organisation aims to employ self-directed individuals capable of leading technical operations who will engage directly with the Sales team, are excellent at designing solutions and prospective clients, and will also work proactively with teams in both China and the US.
Job Requirements:
• Working knowledge of enterprise IT organisations
• Designing internet/web application solutions is a plus
• Understanding of HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, and routing protocols
• Knowledge of Apache, Nginx, and/or IIS
• Knowledge of browsing tools and web analysis, hosting architecture (load balancers, IDS/P, firewalls and so on)
• Knowledge of Linux commands and shell scripts
• Excellent communication abilities
• English proficiency is required
• Travel to customer meetings or conferences may be required
• Demonstrated ability to cooperate across all positions (engineering, sales, product, and operations) in a global, geographically diverse business while maintaining an interpersonal savvy
• Problem-solving abilities, a desire for outcomes, customer focus, and a desire for excellence are required
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
• Support the sales team in meeting targeted direct sales revenue targets by handling the technical aspect of customer needs and creating corporate solutions during the prospect and provision stages, utilising a solid grasp of the firm's products and services
• Participate in teleconferences, internet meetings, site visits, briefings, technical assessments, and other activities
• Respond to RFPs/RFIs, resolve all technical issues, and follow up on all client technical queries throughout the sales cycle, including the execution
• Examine proposals generated by Account Executives to offer essential comments and assure technical accuracy
• Participate in and supervise the creation of client proposals, ensuring that all knowledge, information, and suggestions are specified and of top standard
• Adopt and use the proper client onboarding and work order process to transfer customer needs to the implementation team
• Develop, record, and help in the deployment of solutions and services, as well as proactively monitoring status in order to fulfil ETA commitments
• Before handing over the service to the client for PoC testing or live launch, check that the information conveyed to the consumer is correct and are not contradictory
• Collaboration with corporate support staff to analyze and address customer problem cases or occurrences, including reporting RCA (root cause analysis) to customers as needed
• Establish a thorough grasp of the company's product range and services, while also maintaining good connections with internal product, development, and support teams and contributing to product innovation
• Eliminate sales barriers by offering internal consulting, training, and knowledge support
• Collaborate with Sales to educate current and potential clients on the excellence of the company's services and to establish long-term client relations that provide continuous business value
