We have an exciting opportunity for a Midweight Mechanical Engineer role in a London-based Research company. The firm is an IP-focused start-up that commercialises platform technologies for well-known consumer and automotive brands. The company is searching for an experienced industrial designer to help with new product development.
Job Requirements:
- Has at least 3 years of work experience in product development, mechanical or industrial engineering.
- Has extensive experience in surfacing/structural CAD.
- DFM expertise in plastics and marketable goods.
- Has a keen sense of novelty and beauty, as well as a strong interest in shapes.
- Has experience working directly with clients in the automotive, consumer, and gaming industries.
- Has exceptional presenting and communication abilities.
- Can eventually take charge of a team.
- Language abilities in Chinese are advantageous but not required.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Producing technical outputs for commercial projects, such as A-surfacing, design, and structural engineering.
- Developing innovative product engineering solutions centred on the company's technologies.
- Controlling all DFM and production during the trial production period.
- Manage new tasks that come in.
- Interfacing with and guiding internal R&D.
- Assist with technical selling in the US, Japan and Europe.
