We have an exciting opportunity for an UK-based Events Services firm. The firm is a full-service event management company that working globally for enterprises that seek an exceptional level of service. The organisation is currently looking for an experienced Events Manager to join its skilled management team. The first 6 months will be probation period for this role.
Job Requirements:
- An experienced event manager, particularly with expertise running both physical and online events.
- Capable of and willing to travel worldwide.
- Must be compatible with the company beliefs and principles.
- Located around one hour's drive from Rye.
- A track history of handling events through all stages.
- Excellent written communication abilities, as well as a strong command of spelling and punctuation.
- Computer capabilities and knowledge of virtual meeting solutions are required.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for event planning and delivering on a level that contributes to meeting client objectives and expectations and encouraging client retention.
- Managing event schedules and being accountable for assignment completion on time.
- Managing 3rd partnerships, covering vendor selection, rate and conditions negotiations, contracts, and effective product/service delivery.
- Ensure that budgeting is precise and updated regularly, and the event is executed within the client's budget.
- Making the most of each event's earning potential.
- Tracking KPIs accurately and regularly, reporting to the OPS Manager, finding possible threads and providing action points.
- Ensure that event assistant(s) are aware of the event objectives and client needs, as well as a clear grasp of their allocated tasks and timetable.
- Track the progress and workload of the event assistant(s).
- Motivate your team and, when feasible and appropriate, assist them in their development and advancement.
- Manage onsite team assignments and ensure that the team is well informed and prepared to deliver.
- Throughout the event, review your team's performance frequently to confirm that the overall delivery meets the client's expectations.
- Make that all event documentation, such as contracts, timelines, budgets, and financial reports, are up to date and in order.
- All event timesheets are updated, giving insights to the MD and BD teams.
- Maintain a training program agreed upon with the OPS Manager, and continually explore new information, trends, and prospective event upgrades.
- Develop partnerships with other parties, such as hotels, venues, and digital solutions, to ensure that we can profit from shared intelligence and use expertise to the benefit of our clients.
- Participate in physical and virtual industry events.
- Develop excellent working connections with the clients for a better understanding of their requirements and issues.
- Utilize upselling possibilities to help us meet the financial goals.
- Motivate clients to provide references and testimonials following each event.
